"Seeking building blocks for multifunctional vdW heterostructures"

Abstract: Since the advent of graphene, researchers have been exploring van der Waals (vdW) layered materials to implement a wide range of functionalities such as superconductivity, magnetism, ferroelectrics and so on. Furthermore, numerous aspects of vdW heterostructures suggests their potential for multifunctionality. In the presentation, I will share the journey of my research on multifunctional vdW heterostructures and their consituent building blocks.
