"Aspects of Holographic Complexity"

Abstract: In the AdS/CFT correspondence, the holographic complexity proposals posit that certain bulk quantities are dual to the quantum state complexity of the corresponding boundary state. Quantum complexity may therefore play a pivotal role in understanding the emergence of geometry from quantum theory, and particularly serve as a probe of behind-the-horizon physics in black hole spacetimes. In this talk I will review several lines of research which test the two leading proposals, known as "complexity equals action" and "complexity equals volume."
