"Aligned scattering of hydrogen molecules from the Si(100) surface"

Abstract: Techniques for the production and detection of alignment of molecules are discussed. We then describe an experiment which measures change in alignment of hydrogen (H2) molecules upon scattering from a silicon surface oriented in the (100) direction, and the implications of the results on the nature of the molecule-surface interaction for this system.
