"Probabilistic modeling of biological neural networks"

Abstract: Spiking neural networks has always been mysterious and attractive across neuroscience, mathematics, computer science and many other communities. Researchers have carried out extensive experimental and theoretical studies to gain a better understanding of such networks. We use probabilistic methods to model the spiking neural networks and extract properties of such networks. Our goal is to either find analyitical solutions to the desired quantities or, if that is not possible, to develop numerical algorithms to compute them.
