"A scalable quantum architecture for dark matter detection"

Abstract: I will present a concept for a scalable, quantum-limited direct dark matter detection scheme based on mechanical quantum sensing technologies. With just a few milligram-scale sensors operating near the standard quantum limit--an eminently achievable short term goal--such an array would already be sensitive to a variety of dark matter candidates. Ultimately, with a large array of sensors operating under our proposed impulse measurement protocol, the detector would be capable of direct detection of dark matter purely through gravity, for any dark matter candidate within a few orders of magnitude around the Planck mass.
