"Development of the Electron Cyclotron Emission Source with vortex property"

Abstract: Recently, it has been shown that radiation from a charged particle in spiral motion has a vortex property. Since electron cyclotron motion is also spiral motion, Electron Cyclotron Emission (ECE) should have a vortex property. However although cyclotron motion exists universally, vortex radiation in cyclotron motion has never been observed. This is mainly because the vortex property is canceled out due to the random phase of the electrons cyclotron motion. In this research, in order to experimentally demonstrate a vortex property of ECE, we have tried to generate the gyro-phase controlled multi-electron system, which can actively emit ECE with a vortex property. Also, we have developed the measurement methods to estimate the vortex property.
