"Experimental Exploration of Antiferromagnetic Materials for Spintronic Applications"
2:00pm, RLM 13.202
Abstract: Spintronics is an active research field that utilizes electron spin and material magnetism to develop new information technology. For decades people have successfully made spintronic devices using ferromagnetic materials. Nowadays, antiferromagnetic materials, due to its superior stability and higher resonance frequency, are getting more and more attention. This presentation will introduce the background and motivation of researching antiferromagnetic spintronics and show recent experimental progress in investigating some antiferromagnetic materials. Preliminary results from transport measurement on antiferromagnetic systems will be given.
