Roahn Wynar, Federal Bureau of Investigation

"The Einstein FBI File. On the trail of the world's most important pacifist"

Abstract: A modern look at Albert Einstein's 1500 page FBI file; Why did the FBI begin investigating Einstein? What did the FBI discover? What was the purpose, intent and contents of the file? Dr. Wynar will reflect on the file from the point of view of the modern FBI and from the point of view of our current discourse on national security.

Before joining the FBI, Roahn Wynar received a Ph.D. in Atomic Physics from the University of Texas at Austin. He then held a postdoctoral position at the University of Washington from 2000-2003.

Dr. Wynar is currently a FBI Special Agent who investigates public corruption, civil rights crimes, and complex financial crimes.
