"Strong Forms of the Weak Gravity Conjecture"

2:00pm, RLM 7.104

Abstract: Heuristically, the Weak Gravity Conjecture holds that gravity must be the weakest force in any consistent quantum theory of gravity.  However, there are several distinct ways to make this statement precise, and the phenomenological implications of the conjecture depend on which form is the correct one.  In this talk, I will discuss these phenomenological implications and detail recent progress in the search for the correct form of the Weak Gravity Conjecture.
