"Black hole spectra in holography: consequences for equilibration of dual gauge theories"

Abstract: Energy gap in the spectrum of equilibrium states of interacting system, along with ability to continuously excite the system inside this gap, leads to violation of the ergodicity hypothesis.  We explore this in the framework of gauge theory/string theory correspondence both in top-down examples of holography and in phenomenological models.
