Since 1884, professors in the Department of Physics have been at the forefront of expanding the realm of human knowledge through their groundbreaking research, their limitless innovation, and most of all their commitment to educating future scientists and citizens. As teachers, scientists, and mentors, UT Physics faculty have made profound contributions to the lives of thousands of undergraduate and graduate students.

The Department of Physics is proud to partner with alumni, colleagues, and family members to establish endowments to permanently honor the legacy of those Professors who have made such a difference for science, society, and the lives of others. We will use this space to highlight current initiatives being led by alumni, friends, and family to honor a professor who advanced the UT Physics tradition of excellence in science and education.
