The Graduate Welfare Committee is made up of six faculty members and, currently, five elected graduate student representatives. The purpose of graduate representatives is to serve as liaisons between the graduate student population and the faculty. This includes gathering concerns among graduate students and presenting them to the faculty as well as answering faculty concerns about graduate students.
We also provide graduate students with the tools to succeed and socialize. This includes pairing new students with older graduate student mentors, helping to pay for refreshments in the graduate lounge, and hosting social events.
The current graduate representatives are:
Marc Tost
Maggie Rivers
Xiaohui Liu
Yichen Guo
Xinyue Peng
