Fifty years ago this month, UT Austin theoretical physicist and Nobel laureate Stephen Weinberg published a paper that laid out a unified theory of the electromagnetic and weak forces, establishing key ideas in what would become the Standard Model of Particle Physics. The paper, “A Model of Leptons,” was the most-cited high energy physics paper for more than 30 years. (Read more)
