Chelikowsky

By Richard Hazeltine (chair@physics.utexas.edu)

It is a pleasure to report that the Physics Department’s Jim Chelikowsky has been awarded the Aneesur Rahman Prize for Computational Physics. This is the highest award in computational physics granted by the American Physical Society—a truly fine honor. The citation praises Prof. Chelikowsky’s “computational applications of quantum theories to understand and predict material properties.”

Our warmest congratulations to Prof. Chelikowsky.
