"Toward advances in data acquisition and analysis for quantitative multi-contrast MRI"

Abstract: MRI is highly valuable for noninvasive screening, diagnoses, and treatment monitoring for cancer; however, it is not widely accessible due to long acquisition times and a need for greater specificity. Quantitative imaging provides numerical tissue information for increased specificity but clinical deployment is not immediately feasible. We investigate three different approaches toward faster quantitative MRI for cancer imaging in the areas of abbreviated breast MRI, accelerated imaging with physics-informed deep learning, and habitat imaging and modeling for non-invasively capturing tumor heterogeneity.
