"Calibration Systems for the SuperNEMO Experiment"

Abstract: SuperNEMO is a detector under construction which will focus on the search for the neutrinoless double beta decay process using a unique approach which combines tracking and calorimetry techniques. The aim of the experiment is to reach a sensitivity of 10^26 y, equivalent to a Majorana effective neutrino mass of 40-100 meV. Two different calibration systems, which will combine the use of radioactive sources and LED pulses, will be employed in order to monitor the energy response of the detector with a sub-1% precision.
